On July 6, 2010 I had a beautiful baby boy. We named him Evan. I will return from maternity leave after winter vacation in January. Many of you may know Ms. Morgan, who will be taking over my classes. Ms. Morgan is very excited to be working with the students of Lavallette School. I will keep in touch with her and monitor the progress of our students.
Grading Policy 1. Tests are worth 40% of your grade . Please make sure that you complete your homework and ask any questions that you may have before the test. I am available before school and afterschool for extra help if you let me know in advance. 2. Quizzes are worth 30 % of your grade . Quizzes are usually open notebook quizzes to ensure that you are taking good notes during class. 3. Homework and Class work is 20% of your grade . Homework is assigned most weekdays except Fridays or test days. Homework is an excellent way to reinforce what was taught in school that day. It is also a good way to see if you have any further questions. Five points will be deducted per day that a homework assignment is late. 4 . Class Preparation is worth 10% of your grade . To be prepared for class you must have your textbook, student planner, notebook and NJASK 8 Coach. Each material is worth 25% of your daily participation grade .
